¿EL BAÑO POR FAVOR? AL FONDO A LA DERECHA / TOILET PLEASE? STRAIGHT AHEAD ON THE RIGHT

When I visit a bar or a restaurant one of the things that catches my eye are the signs on the bathroom doors.
If I like a sign a lot, I wait at the door until no one passes and then I take a photo.
In this article there is a compilation of  a handful of those signs I found in my hard drive and also others sent by friends.

As with hair salon signs, where modern hairstyles are portrayed and quickly go out of style, the toilet signs do exactly the same.

2006 - I took these pictures at the Catachu restaurant in Pamplona representing a Minister of the Spanish "transición" (for the men's WC) and a lady of that time with apartment in Costa Fleming (for women's).
Of course the golden color was chosen as the background in these signs.

Far from the previous location, in this case in Hijar (Teruel), we see the 80's faithfully represented, at least so reveals the hairdo and jacket of the lady.

Other examples captured in Genoa and Zaragoza have in common the absence of facial features. One representing the 90's and the other the 60's.

More current signs apparently outdated, this time with a black fill.

Do not miss the typical regional touch!

In the Scala of Milan I found these with a very evident look of the 70's (at least him)

And I like these very much. Its design could perfectky be from the 80's and I photographed them at the Bar Ribera in  Zaragoza.

We finish with this contribution of a friend in which we can see (according to him) the singer Raphael. It is found in the men's WC doors of Huesca Airport.

The artistic license in this type of product is wide, for the examples shown, and it would be good to study the concepts "man" and "woman" that are in the heads of the creators of the drawings.
